The Portugalete C-Peña Athletic de Santurtzi from Group I of the Second Territorial Youth has been suspended this morning after a fight occurred in the stands, as stated in the arbitration report to which EL CORREO has had access.

The duel was played in the field of Los Llanos. With the score 0-2, in the 44th minute the referee sent off a Peña Athletic player for “facing a sector of the public that rebuked him while unequivocally placing a hand on his testicles” and, according to the Record of the referee Unai Higuero Sanz, “showed the index fingers and little finger extended”, a sign of the horns. Portugalete sources have indicated that someone related to the rival team tried to enter the field at that time.

The referee decides to stop the match at that moment. The explanation given in the minutes for the drastic measure is that there were fights between the spectators. This is how he collects it: «In the 44th minute of the first half (…) I decide to suspend the game because a sector of the stands at the same time that they were rebuking the players began to hit each other».

The referee adds that the incidents continued after the suspension. “Already on the way to the locker room there is a brawl between the two hobbies” in which “the Municipal Police had to intervene.” There were three urban guard patrols that showed up.

Although they are not included in the minutes, there were also incidents between fans and players of the two teams outside the facilities. The sources consulted indicate that an ambulance also traveled to the Los Llanos field that evacuated a young local player affected by an anxiety attack.

This is the third game of this campaign that Peña Athletic has been suspended, which has already experienced the same situation against Abanto and Gallarta.

Incidents occur in the youth category in Bizkaia. The Portugalete first team endured racist insults to one of its players in Bermeo on the 12th. The Competition Committee fined the costeros 150 euros and closed them from the costeros field for a match, which they played today in Mungia against the Amorebieta.
