The Amorebieta coach points out before the duel against Real Unión that “we are going to have to suffer, but we have plenty of capacity to do it”

The Stadium Gal de Irun will host this Sunday a duel with tradition and flavor to the now defunct Second B between Amorebieta and Real Unión. Two teams that arrive at this event in a delicate situation, stuck in relegation positions and with the urgent need to break the poor dynamic of results in which they are immersed.

In the case of the zornotzarras, there are already four consecutive days without knowing the victory. The last conditioned and defined encounters, moreover, by their own mistakes, which have deprived them of having any more units in their locker. That is why Haritz Mujika and his people have dedicated a good part of the week to looking at themselves, to carrying out a self-analysis to find solutions as soon as possible. The coach himself pointed it out after the last defeat. “You have to improve the team’s competitiveness,” he said.

“We are clear that the games are not that we are losing them, but it is that they are leaving us due to details, due to avoidable circumstances that we have to correct,” the Pasajes coach in Urritxe said this Friday. “This week we have focused a lot on ourselves, on realizing that to win you have to be at your best for ninety minutes,” he remarked. “We must know how to read what the game requires at all times.”

Pressure

The reinforcement for a job well done would be to return from the duel against the border team with a victory in their pocket. It would be a soothing triumph for two reasons. On the one hand, the qualifier, alleviating the delicate situation of the blues in the table. And on the other, in the locker room they would get rid of that slab of uncertainty that bad results always bring. “Winning is always good for everything, for the results and for freeing your head a little”, confirms the holder of Urritxe’s bench

This fourth outing of the season for Amorebieta will be far from easy. Although the season has practically just started, it is an ’emergency’ match for both teams, in need of a change of direction in their course in the competition. “We know that we are going to a very difficult field, but with the work we are doing, if we correct those details, I think it will be a game in which we can take the three points,” slides the coach of the zornotzarras.

“Real Unión is down there due to circumstances, injuries in midfield have penalized them a lot, which have forced them to modify their game a bit. They have not started as well as they would have liked. They have not been able to make the game they want, they have had to play in another way. It is a team to be on top, ”says Mujika about his rival.

A Haritz Mujika who knows Real Unión very well and also his coach, Aitor Zulaika. «I played there for six years, and Aitor has also been my coach at the beginning of his career. It is always a joy to return to Irun », he affirms.

Regarding the game itself, Mujika believes that “it will be very disputed, very intense.” “A nice game between two teams with resources,” he added. “We will have to be prepared for everything. We must be strong mentally. We are going to have to suffer, but we have plenty of capacity to do so. And also to have the ball and hurt the opponent », he says. “We must be very clear that when we go on the attack, we are a dangerous team, we have to continue like this.”

a lot of level

From the rival bench, Aitor Zulaika has also made his previous analysis of this Basque derby. «We will have to play a very good game, with the ball and without the ball. I think that Amorebieta has the essence of that team that went up to the Second Division, with direct play, that took chances out of nowhere, but it is true that they have changed and have more variety. We will have to adapt », he has indicated. «It surprises me that a team that was in the Second Division and has made a competitive squad is down, but it is true that the level of the category is what it is. Most of the Basque teams being down says something too. There’s a lot of level.”
