He left the UFC, yet he is still heard about. This rebel can take care of it himself. Tensions between the teams of Jake Paul and Nate Diaz reached a boiling point backstage over the weekend ahead of their matchup with Anderson Silva.

The Brazilian and world MMA legend eventually lost. Paul mastered his biggest horn challenge yet, defeating the Brazilian Spider Anderson Silva on Saturday in Phoenix. He won the eight-round war full of beautiful shootouts on points.

While Paul is starting to gain more respect as a boxer, he remains one of the villains of the sport for many fans. He is known to get on many people’s nerves. Attention, interest, obsession, business.

It was busy even now. It’s unclear what led to the altercation, but Paul and Diaz’s teams got into it backstage in Glendale. The heated situation was not without a physical attack, Diaz stamped his signature hand on a member of Paul’s team. It all happened when the two teams came face to face.

The incident happened just weeks after Diaz left the UFC when his contract expired. Ahead of UFC 279, Diaz and his team confronted Khamzat Chimaev and others backstage before the pre-fight press conference. A fight ensued and the press conference was cancelled.

Whether everything happened over the weekend because both camps did not keep their heads is not known. It may also be just the beginning of promotion for an unannounced boxing match between Paul and Diaz. Only time will tell.

“Now I want that Nate Diaz bitch!” asked Paul after the fight of another legendary UFC fighter, who watched this gala evening directly in the arena.
