With the participation of more than 270 professionals from different parts of the country, the Veterinary Olympics were launched in the town of Paso de la Patria, which takes place in the disciplines of football 11 and 5, basketball, volleyball, paddle tennis, chess, bocha and taba
Prior to the start of the activities, the opening ceremony of this new sports and social appointment of veterinary doctors was held at the facilities of the “Pinin Palma” amphitheater on the banks of the Paraná River in the tourist town.
The epicenter of the activity is the Recreational and Tourist Complex of the Mutual of Water and Energy Personnel (MUPAYE), where the participating delegations were received and it was the place of the welcome dinner for the delegations.
These activities have the support of the Government of Corrientes, the Ministry of Tourism, the Secretary of Sports, the Secretary General Ministry of the Interior and the Municipality of Paso de la Patria, and companies related to veterinary medicine such as Sieger, Elanco, Brouwer, Laboratorio Vetué, ZooVet, SH Professional Veterinary Services, Jhon Martin, LK König, Von Franken and the Argentine Veterinary Federation.
Of the different competitions, organized by the Professional Council of Veterinary Doctors of Corrientes, that will be developed are: field soccer, soccer 5, volleyball, paddle tennis, basketball, chess, taba, trick and bowls. While this year for the chosen venue, the competitions of coastal fishing and boat fishing will be added, as well as mountain biking.
Representatives from Salta, Tucumán, Jujuy, Rosario, Santa Fe, Misiones, Formosa, Chaco and Paraguay participate, since this edition is also the first of MERCOSUR. While numerous professionals arrived from Córdoba, Entre Ríos, Santiago del Estero, among other provinces
The competitions began yesterday with soccer 11, chess, boccia, taba, paddle tennis and in the afternoon basketball, volleyball, trick and soccer 5. Meanwhile, on Sunday the semifinals and finals will be held, and the fishing and mountain bike competitions. For 9:30 p.m. of that day, the awards dinner show and farewells of the participants are scheduled.

Today, Friday 7: 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon – soccer 11, chess, boccia, taba and paddle tennis; 12 – lunch and 15 – basketball, volleyball and soccer 5.
Saturday 8: 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon – soccer 11, chess, boccia, taba and paddle tennis; 12 – lunch and 15 – basketball, volleyball and soccer 5; 18:30 – trick.
Sunday 9: 9:30 to 12 – semi-finals and finals football 11; 12 – lunch; 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – fishing and mountain biking and 9:30 p.m. – award ceremony and farewell dinner show.
