Verstappen fourth world championship with extensive dinner

Max Verstappen has had two weeks to recover after winning his second world championship in Formula 1, but the Dutchman says he has not thrown any big parties.

The Red Bull Racing driver crossed the line in dominant fashion in Japan, deciding the championship in his favor four races before the end of the season. However, the focus remains unchanged for Verstappen. The 25-year-old driver wants to collect as many victories as possible this season, with the counter already at twelve.

Celebrating Championship

Verstappen has therefore not been in the spotlight for two weeks: “It was fine,” he says in Austin. “I was still a bit busy with some obligations and work on the simulator. But I had one night where I invited good friends of mine and then we had dinner together,” it sounds.

Asked if this second title feels different from his first, Verstappen replies: “It always feels different when it’s finished earlier. We saw it coming, that’s why I don’t compare them. It’s the same with your first win and the victories after that. Your first one is always a little more emotional, I think, but when I look at the performance, this year was probably a bit better.”
