Thumbs up to get the party started

After the show, the party and the music, the South American Games (official name since 2006), or just the Odesur, begin in Asunción. The competition organized by the South American Sports Organization will test more than 6,000 athletes representing 15 nations for two weeks.

Among the Argentine athletes there will be several from Tucuman who will try to contribute to the cause. What is the goal? Put the country as high as possible in the medal table. Since 2006, Argentina has not been in first place again. On that occasion, the Argentine athletes were local and resumed a position that had been an “albiceleste” heritage in the first six editions (1978, 1982, 1986, 1990, 1994 and 1998). In the last three chapters, Medellín 2010, Santiago 2014 and Cochabamba 2018, Argentina was fourth. Today’s action (diving, swimming, badminton, 3×3 basketball, mountain biking, bodybuilding, beach soccer, weightlifting, rollerblading, rowing, skateboarding, archery, triathlon and sailing) will start the road to the place where everything athlete wants to be: on the podium.
