Three major projects in progress

Major projects have emerged in recent weeks in Brienon-sur-Armançon. They must end in the spring of 2023

1 Expansion of the Recytherm business. In the industrial zone, the company Recytherm has launched extension work on land adjoining the waste disposal center – a few hundred meters from its current site – over more than 25,000 m 2 . Specializing in the recycling of plastic materials, more specifically that of plastic offcuts, it must cope with the development of its volume of activity, with the doubling of the treatment of current waste, and the objective of going up to 10,000 tons within five years. The final establishment of the company and its fourteen employees on the site should take place in March 2023, with hiring at the key.

2 Rehabilitation of the Joséphine-Normand residence. On the other side of the D943, the rehabilitation of the Ehpad is in full swing. The Joséphine-Normand residence specializes in gerontology. Started just a year ago, the work, which recently took a new turn, has an estimated cost of 20 million euros. The retirement home disburses most of the sum thanks to its own funds or via a loan for which the Department, the municipalities of Brienon and Seignelay act as guarantors, the National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy (CNSA) providing grant of 1.1 million euros.

3 New indoor center for archers. Another major construction site on the Bligny road, with the construction of the new covered center for the Sentinel archers, jointly voted by the municipality and the Community of Serein and Armance communes (CCSA) in May 2021.

These new infrastructures should serve as a preparation center for the Paris 2024 Games. Eventually, the new shooting range should allow the reception of twenty archers simultaneously. The covered room will meet the criteria of the French Archery Federation (FFTA) for the organization of departmental and regional, or even national, competitions.

The budget for this project amounts to 1.8 million euros, partly financed by various partners for 150,000 €, and by the State for 711,720 €.
