They beat the UAZ Gophers in their debut

ZACATECAS. The Tuzas team from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ) had a difficult debut in the second division of the Student Basketball Association League (ABE), falling 74-56 against the Universidad Iberoamericana Campus Torreón.

The zacatecans left their hearts on the floor but it was not enough against some lagoons who proved to be serious candidates for this 2022-2023 season, with an offensive power commanded by Daniela del Bosque.

The University Basketball Gymnasium of the UAZ 21st Century Campus was the venue where the Tuzas began their journey within the ABE in search of promotion to the first division of the league.

From the beginning of the actions, the Zacatecas suffered in the match by going down on the scoreboard early with a difference of 11 points, to finish the first period 21-6.

In the second quarter, those from the Ibero swept away with some Gophers led by Daniela del Bosque who with several triples extended the advantage of the visit to go to halftime with the scoreboards 39-29.

Upon returning to the court, coach Luis Cepeda made some rotations within his quintet to get closer to the scoreboard, with players like Mariana Rodríguez, however, the Laguneras came in big plan to win the third period 61-39.

To close the match, Daniela del Bosque did her thing again to close her great performance, in a dream debut with a team from the Ibero Campus Torreón that ended up winning 74 points to 56.
