Several Arab countries took part in this sporting event such as Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Sudan. The Algerians of CSA Nour Bir El Djir recorded an excellent performance with Zakaria Betahar who took first place and ranked as the best athlete in the category. His compatriots Chaachouaa Imad and Fellahi Abderrahmane also distinguished themselves by winning first place while Boudali Houari and Trouzine Yaser finished in third position while Horri Abdelbasset took fifth place. For a feat it was one for the Association CSA Nour Bir El Djir, created in September 1999, which surprised more than one by its excellent results recorded during these games. “We warmly thank our young athletes from the Nour Bir El Djir Association in Oran for their brilliant performances. Your success is an example for other athletes. We thank all the leaders and trainers of the Association, such as Talhaoui Mohamed and Talhaoui Abdelkader for the efforts made”, reads the congratulatory press release from the Oran Regional Judo League, whose officials encouraged the young people “who are considered to be the future champions of this discipline”, it is underlined.
