the VAR annoys in England, a player outright requests its removal!

Zapping Our Mondial EXCLUDED: Christopher Nkunku’s “Little Brother” interview!

The tone is rising in England against the VAR! At the heart of the debates yesterday during three matches, the Daily Mail indicates that the players are getting more and more annoyed with technology. Antonio Conte also protested the use of the latter by the referees after the red suffered by Emerson during the North London Derby.

“In England it’s very difficult. Sometimes you see situations that could be a red card but instead a yellow card or no yellow card. Sometimes you see situations that are a yellow card but instead, it’s a red card. [les arbitres] have to work a lot on it. In Italy, for example, our referees leave on Thursdays to stay together for three days to work together, watch videos, try to improve.”

Same observation for Marco Silva, the coach of Fulham who did not digest the expulsion of Nathaniel Chalobah from the eighth minute which caused a big defeat for his team against the Magpies (1-4):

“The referee was clear, for him [c’était] a yellow card, he told me. It was a tough tackle but I’m 100% sure that I didn’t see any consistency in those kinds of situations. I am 100% sure that in the next few weeks we will see more tackles like that and they will be a yellow card. It’s hard for us to understand. Where is the consistency in these decisions? I can accept the red card if the next 10 weeks, 20 weeks I will see the same thing, but I’m sure it won’t.”

And what about the reaction of Steve Parish, the president of Crystal Palace after the red not attributed to Thiago Silva, yet the last defender and who will prove decisive later by offering the goal of equalization to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The latter thus wrote: “What is the VAR for?” while his trainer Patrick Vieira preferred to remain calm:

“It’s hard for me to understand it, to accept it, so sometimes it’s better to be really quiet and not talk about it. I don’t want to talk about it because I believe the referee made a mistake and if I really say what I think, I’ll get in trouble, so I better not talk about it.”

Forshaw demande la suppression du VAR !

A video more than ever called into question while the midfielder of Leeds, Adam Forshaw flatly asked for its deletion in remarks granted to the British media:

“I would get rid of VAR. Most guys would. It makes you even angrier because there’s something there that’s supposed to be black and white for you, and it’s not. You take always bad decisions when there is technology. It’s embarrassing” he concluded.
