Last week the Sports Schools for the Elderly started in Badajoz, included in the Campaign for Attention to the Elderly, that will take place until May 31, with the novelty that in this edition the city council has not left out the districts and they arrive at Valdebotoa, Sagrajas, Balboa,Villafranco, Gévora and Novelda, as reported yesterday by the Mayor’s Area councillor, Antonio Cavacasillas.

The Sports Schools for the Elderly aim to “fit and entertain” the participants with the practice of some sports modality or games to motivate them, improve their physical condition, acquire good habits and instill in them the psychology of self-improvement. The only requirement to participate is to enroll in physical conditioning classes and the council itself advises the most convenient sport for each student based on their physical abilities. Sports schools are free for users. This campaign offers senderismo, padel, taichí, table tennis, badminton, petanque, zumba, walking football, pilates, indoor cycling, pilates, relaxation and this year, as a novelty, the Chess to meet the demand of the elderly.
