This Monday night Santander coach Jorge Luis Pinto arrived in the capital of Valle del Cauca to take over as manager of Deportivo Cali.
After his link was confirmed last Saturday, the former national selector of Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras and the United Arab Emirates, has already settled in what will be his home at least until next year.
As it was known, tonight he will have a dinner with the president of Deportivo Cali, Luis Fernando Mena, and then he will rest in the mansion, located in the Pance sports headquarters, where he will live while he is the coach of the Verdiblanco team.
This Tuesday morning, he will lead his first training session with the group of players and then he will be officially presented to the media.
It should be remembered that along with Professor Pinto will be Sergio ‘Barranca’ Herrera as technical assistant, Gilberto Arenas as physical trainer and Eduardo Niño as goalkeeper trainer.
The Santander coach has already been moving in search of the players he wants for the 2023 season with Cali. One of them seems to be the goalkeeper Jose Luis Chunga of the Petroleum Alliance, who is said to have already had rapprochements with the “sugar” leadership.
The other positions that Pinto would be looking for would be a central defender, midfielder ’10’ and a forward.
Jorge Luis Pinto’s debut as coach of Deportivo Cali will be this Sunday in the Valle del Cauca classic against Americca, on the pitch at the Palmaseca stadium.
