Rivera’s basketball teams in the under-17, under-19 and older categories are preparing to participate in the Northern Championships. Training has already begun and the dates for the events have already been confirmed, with next activity in the months of October (under-17), November (under-19) and December (senior team).
U-17 SELECTION
The U-17 team already began training last weekend at the Club Nacional de Básquetbol Gymnasium. The coaching staff is made up of Carlos Cogo and Darío Cardozo. The summoned players are the following:
– From National Basketball: Santiago Sander Ulery, Juan Francisco Benavides Berrutti, Manuel Vega Borges, Facundo Ferreira Coitino, Tadeo Grieco Gonzalez, Eduardo Abdullah Juarez Tarabay, Christian Daniel Orona Perez, Agustin Tabeira Lacuesta and Matthew Martins Costa.
– From Don Bosco: Bruno Sebastián López Píriz, Cristian Daniel Rosa Fierro and Rodrigo Rivero.
The riverense selection of the category will participate in the next Northern Championship to be played in our city on the 22nd of this month.
U-19 SELECTION

The under-19 team will play the Northern Championship in the city of Artigas on November 26.
GREATEST CELESTIAL
For its part, the senior preselection also began training at the UTU Sports Center and it is about the same players from the under-19 category, to which are added Diego Falcao, Luis Pessoa, Diego Costa, Darío Cardozo, João Pedro Schepa, Gabriel Soares and Juliano Duarte.
The senior team will play the Northern Championship in the city of Tacuarembo on December 10.
