The Bolivarian Andrés Pila adds another medal in the South American Games

Second medal for the Bolivarian archer Andrés Pila at the Asunción 2022 South American Games. The athlete from the south of Bolívar won the bronze medal in the individual recurve bow modality, defeating the Brazilian Matheus Quintanilha Pacheco Gomes.

Pila beat Pacheco Gomes with a score of 7-3, thus hanging the bronze. The Bolivarian had been defeated in the semifinals by fellow Brazilian Marcus Vinicius Carvalho Lopes Dalmeida, who lost in the final for gold against fellow Colombian Jorge Enríquez.

The Bolivarian had already won a silver medal in the recurve bow team event, competing with Daniel Pineda and Jorge Enriquez.

In five days of competition, the Bolivarian athletes have awarded him nine medals at the South American Games: four golds, with María Fernanda Timms, Sheyla Muñoz and Andrés Jiménez in skating; and Pacho Mosquera in the weights; three silvers, obtained by Walter Beleño in weights, Luz Karime Garzón in skating and Andrés Pila in archery; and two bronzes, won by María Fernanda Timms in figure skating and Andrés Pila in archery.
