The Association of Spanish Soccer Players (AFE) publicly denounced this Friday the pressures to which the players of the last call of the women’s team have been subjected by the Futpro union to resign from the national team and support the 15 rebels who refused to be part of the national team for his rejection of Jorge Vilda. The AFE considers that it is “an event of extreme gravity, since the sports career of these soccer players would be at stake, who could suffer serious damage” and describes the attitude of the president of Futpro, Amanda Gutiérrez, as “ extremely serious, since it could be considered that it is inducing the players of the Spanish team to commit an illegal action.

The pressure exerted by the soccer players’ union during a meeting held on Wednesday with Futpro and with the representatives of the 15 rogues are aimed at the last players called to the national team “faking a situation of emotional affectation to obtain a medical report that would allow them not to be summoned to integrate the national team». As revealed by the newspaper ‘Marca’, “Futpro’s role was forceful, trying to get the young women to follow the same path of rebellion to leave the way clear for the return of the fifteen”, and the president of said union addressed the soccer players in the following terms: «What you have to do is go see the psychologist of your club and then do the paripé».

“How can we not go to the fifteen best players to a World Cup?” Nerea Eizaguirre asked one of the three representatives of the rebels during the tense meeting, to the perplexity of the substitutes for the stars of the women’s team. “This is an intolerable fact for AFE, which has been helping footballers who suffer from this type of ailment for some time. We know the tear they cause in any person and the seriousness of them for the president of a union to trivialize something so delicate, ”laments the AFE after the latest controversy involving the conflict that affects the women’s team classified for the World Cup of the next year.

«We must remember that the Law (art. 47 of the Sports Law) establishes ‘the obligation of federated athletes to attend the calls of the national sports teams for participation in international competitions or for the preparation of the same'”.

«AFE categorically rejects these alleged behaviors and supports all the soccer players of the Spanish team, so that they are not pressured to accept a situation that directly harms them, for the benefit of the particular interests of a union. Interests that have been shown do not coincide with the majority feeling of the soccer players, “concludes the union chaired by David Aganzo in his community.
