Hard blow for Cameron Norrie. The 27-year-old British player, who is trying to qualify for the end-of-season Masters with his eighth place in the ATP rankings, had withdrawn less than an hour before the quarter-finals of the Seoul tournament on Friday. The ATP had simply declared that he was ill, without giving further details.

“Unfortunately, I had a positive Covid test in Korea and was unable to participate in the rest of my matches“, finally wrote Cameron Norrie on his Instagram account. The Briton indicated that he had not experienced any symptoms and that he felt well, but that he could not participate in the Tokyo tournament which begins on Monday, due to quarantine requirements.
