Táchira and Portuguesa scoreless in Pueblo Nuevo

Deportivo Táchira equalized 0-0 at home in Pueblo Nuevo against Portuguesa on the third day of the “Final Phase B” of the Futve League.

The Aurinegro was the one that first generated a dangerous play in the goal defended by Yhonatan Yustiz, after a shot from outside the area by Jeizon Ramírez, and after the rebound by the Portuguese goalkeeper, Edder Farías appeared to catch the ball but went astray.

The Portuguese responded quickly with striker Osorio sending a forehand but goalkeeper Valera was able to send the ball to a corner kick at 27′.

Before the end of the first half, striker Farías had another clear chance to open the scoring, but Yustiz was able to keep his header.

In the second half, Maurice Cova took a good free kick that hit the right post at 54′. Minutes later Fernández, Tortolero and Farías, again, would be in charge of demanding the Portuguese goalkeeper who prevented the fall of his bow and became a road piece for the “Penta” tie.

Colmenárez was the one who generated the most danger in the aurinegra area. Táchira will have their next challenge this Sunday when they visit the Puerto Cabello Academy (7:15 pm) in La Bombonerita.

For its part, Portuguesa will visit Deportivo Lara that same day but at 5:00 p.m.
