Szafnauer happy after Alonso time penalty reversed: “This is justice”

He fell way back in the final score and Alpine protested to rectify their star driver’s penalty. After long legal wrangling, Alonso regained his seventh place and was able to refute the focus to Mexico.

Alonso’s team principal Otmar Szafnauer was also pleased with the stewards’ decision. The Alpine team principal responded quite clearly to Motorsport.com: “I think we got the result that the sport deserved. This is justice, but of course I am biased because I work for this team.
