Sport and Culture wrap up the final stretch of the Iberdrola Supera awards

The Jury of Honor of the III Edition of the Awards Iberdrola Beats has selected this Wednesday six initiatives that will become a reality this 2022 thanks to these awards that make visible and promote people, programs and projects that promote equality in the female sport.

Personalities from different disciplines Sport and Culture and ambassadors of Iberdrola’s women’s program continue to support this equality and they made it clear yesterday. Vicente del Bosque, Jesus Carballo, Marta Arce (Judo), Javier Fernandez (Skating), Sandra Sanchez (Karate), Eli Pinedo (Handball), Susanna Gray o Sonsoles Onega are some of the names that are part of this Jury of Honour, gathered yesterday at the Sorolla Museum. An artistic enclave to which Iberdrola is also linked through its support for emblematic exhibitions, such as the one that the museum is hosting these days, ‘Sorolla in black’.

It will be in the month of November when the winners will be revealed, who will endow with a total of 300,000 euros for the best projects related to grassroots sport, joining competition, social integration, inclusion, dissemination and visibility, and mental health care. The Iberdrola Supera Awards, benchmarks in recognition of women’s sport, contribute to SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for 2030.
