Schröder on Wagner: Hopefully even better than Nowitzkis

Nnational team captain Dennis Schröder wishes NBA pro Franz Wagner from the Orlando Magic an even more successful career than that of basketball superstar Dirk Nowitzki.
«Dirk is the best who has ever played the four-man position. You shouldn’t compare him to Dirk or any other person. He is Franz Wagner, he should write his own story, »Schröder told the German Press Agency before the start of the NBA season and added: «Of course, if possible, it should be even better than Dirk’s.»
Nowitzki is the only German basketball player to have won the championship in the NBA. He is also the only German to have been named the league’s most valuable player in a season.
21-year-old Franz Wagner is entering his second NBA season and, like his brother Moritz Wagner, plays for the Orlando Magic. With outstanding performances at the European Basketball Championships, he made a major contribution to the bronze medal for the German national team. “Becoming a professional so early, it’s unbelievable. He works very, very hard, knows exactly which line he is taking.
