The school representatives of the Marche achieved, last week, two important results in the national finals of the Beach Volleyball Student Championships, played in Roseto degli Abruzzi. The men’s team of the Liceo Sportivo “Cambi” of Falconara Marittima was in fact classified in 2nd place, surrendering only in the final after two very hard-fought sets in front of the very strong Abruzzo couple from Chieti. For the girls of the Liceo Sportivo “Rosetti” of San Benedetto del Tronto, on the other hand, a 6th place arrived, a significant result considering the level of the event, after having been the protagonists of hard-fought matches that ended at the tie-break.
Results that follow what happened in the national finals of the month of May, where the students-athletes from the Marche also climbed to the top step of the podium. In Trentino, in Folgaria, from 23 to 26 May, in the sport of Badminton, the schools of the Marche achieved a 3rd place with the “Rodari-Marconi” Comprehensive Institute of Porto Sant’Elpidio. The Orienteering competitions were also held in the same location, with the 1st place of the Trail-O representative of the IIS “Einstein-Nebbia” of Loreto.
Results of absolute importance also at the national finals of Athletics, played in Pescara from 29 May to 2 June, in which Alice Pagliarini of the Liceo “Nolfi-Apolloni” of Fano climbed to the top step of the podium for their respective categories ( 100 meters), Andrea Cup of the IIS “Fermi-Sacconi-Ceci” of Ascoli Piceno (long jump), Edoardo Alfonsi of the Comprehensive Institute “Fermi” of Macerata (long jump), Ilia Scudieri Panebianco of the IIS “Cecchi ”Of Pesaro (100 meters), Kane Mame Diarra of the Comprehensive Institute” Polo “of Cartoceto (launch of the vortex), Martina Tarabelli of the IIS” Bramante “of Macerata (100 meters).
On the other hand, Jessica Cecchini of the Comprehensive Institute of Ostra (80 meters), Samuele Giancarli of the Comprehensive Institute “Levi Montalcini” of Chiaravalle (vortex), Gift Neh Nebasi of the Hospitality Institute “Buscemi” of San Benedetto ranked in 2nd place del Tronto (weight), Andrea Sampaoli of the Civitanova Marche branch of the IPSIA “Corridoni” of Corridonia (long). Also noteworthy are the placings of the women’s team of the “Don Bosco” Comprehensive Institute of Tolentino (third for the sum of individual results) and of Francesco Pagliarini of the “Nolfi-Apolloni” Liceo of Fano (third in the 100 meters).
From the long list of podium placements you can understand the level reached by the students athletes from the Marche, who have always shown seriousness, commitment and impeccable behavior. This aspect assumes great importance in school sport events such as those of the student championships, in which the educational aspects are at least as relevant as the sporting results achieved.
This week, the national finals of the student tennis championships are taking place in Palermo, in which the Marche is represented by the teams of the “Marconi” high school in Pesaro and the IIS “Costanza da Varano” in Camerino, and as individualists by Paolo Corrado Pagliarulo of the “Orsini-Licini” high school in Ascoli Piceno and Natasha Mihaela Motinga of the IIS “Corridoni-Campana” of Osimo.
The student championships, as is well known, enhance the sporting excellence of schools, giving value to the skills acquired especially in extracurricular sports activities with sports federations; instead, the activities foreseen by the “Tutti in Campo” project, planned by the Marche school office for the Marche region, are starting in order to bring the school sports experience, with its educational values, to all pupils (including the less able and non-practitioners), giving life to tournaments for class representatives, first at the school level and subsequently at the territorial level.
