Santa Cruz started with a great performance in the Evita

The provincial representatives showed an excellent level in the different disciplines, including PCD athletics (for people with disabilities), in which two medals were obtained, the first by Damián Muñoz, who took the bronze in throwing bullet. For his part, Axel Retamar won gold in the 1500-meter flat.

As for basketball, the U17 women’s team began with a match against Santa Fe, ending with the score in favor of the Santa Fe women by 60 to 32. For their part, the girls of the U15 category beat San Luis (62 to 29) and they could not beat Corrientes, ending the match 49 to 52. In the 3×3 version, the U16 women’s team beat Misiones by 8 to 7, and Córdoba by 11 to 3.

Regarding men’s basketball, the U15 team beat Misiones by 77 to 35. In the 3×3 variant, the U16 boys could not beat the teams from Córdoba (9 to 19) and La Rioja (10 to 18). As for the women’s category under 14, the girls played two excellent matches, beating Córdoba by 15 to 9, and Jujuy by 14 to 3.

The sub-16 women’s beach handball team could not beat the team from the province of Buenos Aires, defeating the Buenos Aires team 2-0; as well as the men’s team, which ended with a score in favor of the entrerriano team by 2 to 0.

With respect to hockey, the men’s under 14 team beat Santiago del Estero 3-0. As for the under 16 category, the Santa Cruz natives beat Neuquén 1-0. In women’s under 14 hockey they fell to Misiones 5-0.

Continuing with rugby, the U-16 men’s team beat Río Negro 41-0. The day continued with badminton, a discipline in which the U-14 women’s doubles team beat Misiones 2-0. under 14, the provincial team fell to Misiones and Corrientes. In men’s singles sub14, our representative beat the Pampas by 2 to 0 and Santiago del Estero by the same result. The player from Santa Cruz under 14 defeated the representative of Chaco by 2 to 0.

The under 16 female futsal could not beat Tierra del Fuego, but later beat Corrientes by 9 to 0. Regarding Judo, in the male + 64 and female + 64 categories, they won their respective fights. In women’s 53 kg and 44 kg they could not beat their opponents, continuing the fights on Wednesday. The men’s volleyball ended with a score of 2-0 beating Buenos Aires.

The 11-under 14 soccer team beat Córdoba 3-0. In mixed soccer, Neuquén beat Santa Cruz 3-1, while women’s boxing went to the quarterfinals by draw, with the fights taking place on the day Thursday. In Badminton PCD, in mixed double, Santa Cruz beat San Juan 2-0. In women’s single, Santa Cruz beat Buenos Aires 2-0. Finally, in men’s single, the province fell to Buenos Aires 0-2. In men’s beach volleyball under 14, the provincial team beat San Juan 2-0.

In chess, in the team categories in the under 14 category, the people from Santa Cruz beat the team from Catamarca. In individual sub 16, Andrés Pintos and Karen Alarcón had an excellent performance winning two of the three games played. Joaquín Godoy and Sofía Cayo had wins in two out of three games in individual U14s.

Finally, in women’s athletics under 14, Isabela Prates and Malena Andrade went to the semi-final of 80 with hurdles. Luzmila Petazzi and Brisa Méndez passed the final of the 2000 meter flat.

As for the javelin throw finals, Milagros Molina managed to advance to the next instance.
