Everton have won the Premier League twice in a row for the first time this season. Against Southampton, it turned a deficit into a 1-2 win. Amadou Onana contributed with the assist for the 1-1.

Everton were the better team in Southampton, but immediately after the break they got the lid on the nose. The deficit was not on the scoreboard for long, because Everton immediately struck back.

Amadou Onana climbed very high on a free kick and Conor Coady rammed the Red Devil’s header into goal: 1-1. A few minutes later Everton was already in the lead and again Onana played a (small) role.

The Red Devil went down in the penalty area, but Iwobi’s cross found Dwight McNeil. He shot the Southampton goalkeeper for the 1-2.

Everton needed a good goalkeeper Pickford in the final phase to keep the three points, but they succeeded. Thanks to the second win in a row, Everton can leave the relegation zone behind.
