Ramón Romero Abad, champion of Andalusia with Tennis Oromana

The tennis player from Jerez Ramon Romero Abad has been proclaimed champion of Andalusia by teams in the veteran category with the Oromana Tennis Club of Alcala de Guadaira after defeating Tenis Oromana B by 5-0 in the semifinals and Club de Campo by 4-0 in the final, a +60-year-old competition that has been played in Seville.

The team in which the tennis player from Jerez forms is also made up of Emilio Nieto, Jordi Higueras, Bejarano, Benjamín Velasco, Antonio Franco and Paco Roldán. The championship has been played to the best of three individual matches and two doubles. For Romero Abad it is the eighth Andalusian wound by teams and we must remember that he is 19 times champion of Andalusia in singles.



That was not the end of the matter for Ramón Romero, who has completed a fantastic weekend by taking the final of the tennis tournament of the Rio Grande Club of Sevillea valid test for the veterans circuit and that awards points for the national ranking.

The tennis player from Jerez has prevailed in the final to Benjamín Velasco by 6-1 and 6-2 and beforehand he dropped Navas in the quarterfinals 6-1 and 6-2 and in the semifinal he defeated Andrés Revert, from Córdoba, with a double 6-3. For his part, Velasco got into the final after defeating Rafael Vargas from Seville in the semifinals by a double 7-5 in an even match.

With this individual triumph, Ramón Romero Abad qualifies as first for the Final Master of the Tennis Veterans Circuit.
