Pouguet and Petit 2nd of the 1st round of the PQ1

The last stage of the PQ1 is the only round taking place on French territory. It started on Tuesday, at the Hardelot golf course, designed by the architect Tom Simpson (to whom we owe the Fontainebleau and Chiberta golf courses, among others).

For this first qualifying round, three French people out of the 22 entered are in the top 10 of the leaderboard. In 2nd position, we find Antoine Pouguet at -5 with an eagle, 4 birdies and a bogey. He is tied with Alexandre Petit, author of 6 birdies and a bogey. We find a little further Baptiste Mory, 8th with a card of 68 (-3). He made 6 birdies and 3 bogeys on the Hardelot les Pins course.

Sébastien Gros, former resident of the European Tour, is 52nd on the leaderboard with a card of 72 (+1).

The provisional leader is the American Trevor Sluman at -6. He made a total of 8 birdies and 2 bogeys for this first qualifying round.
