After the forfeit of Royal Devil (n°12) and that ofIlestbo de Houelle (n°16), fourteen competitors, all 4 years old, remained in contention on the track of Auteuil in the quinté of the day, disputed on hurdles on very soft ground. After a journey of 3,600 m, Impressive Machin (n°13) proved to be the strongest. Constantly noticed the leading group, the partner of Alain de Chitray took the best after jumping the last difficulty to go and get the first success of his career. By performing a masterstroke for his first steps at this level, this 4-year-old gelding allows his trainer, Augustin Adeline De Boisbrunet to win his first quinté.
After conducting the test, Vae Boss (#2) and Saint Oil (n°4) complete, in this order, the finish of the winner’s trifecta at three lengths. More than ten lengths from the leading trio, Precious Impulse (n°15), author of a good effort in the last bend before leveling off in the final phase, seizes a clear fourth place and leads Zaky (n°3), whose end of race did not go unnoticed. The latter precedes Spirit of The Moon (n°1), and the favorite, Iban Roque (#7), disappointing.
To note that Sidereal (n°5) was unable to complete his course.
