BASEBALL AT SCHOOL IN AVIGLIANA

On Monday 3 October the Avigliana Bees Baseball & Softball hosted the Defendente Ferrari State Secondary School Tournament of the IC Avigliana at the municipal sports facilities in Via Pontetto. The students of the second classes, divided into ten teams and coordinated by the federal instructor Alessandro Rosa Colombo, competed first in the qualifying phases, then in the finals of the competition, to which the four best formations had access. At the end of a hard-fought final, the closing ceremony took place with the awarding of the first three teams, followed by thanks to the students and the teaching staff by Emma D’Ambrosio, vice president of the ASD.

THE SPORT

The teachers of the school, with the reference of Professor Giacomo Pinsoglio, and the Headmaster Dr. Romana Guma, underline the importance of sport at an educational level and thank the staff of Avigliana Bees Baseball&Softball for hosting and organizing the tournament. The event allowed the children to really team up and apply what they learned during the curricular lessons with the participation in the Minibaseball project, which took place last school year.
