Big favorites, Anders Mol and Christian Sorum won the first edition of the Paris beach Pro tour on the center court of Roland Garros this Sunday (19-21, 18-21) against Alexander Brouwer and Robert Meeuwsen. Olympic and world champions, the Norwegians easily passed all the stages and managed to bring down the Dutch pair without losing a set.
« We are really happy to have won here. We hope there will be other tournaments here (Roland Garros)”, underlined Anders Mol at the microphone of the L’Équipe channel.
The Italians Paolo Nicolai and Samuele Cottafava won against the Chileans Marco Grimalt and Esteban Grimalt (21-16, 21-16) and finished 3rd.

Among the women, Raïsa Schoon and Katia Stam were crowned on the Philippe Chatrier court. Bronze medalist at the European Championships and world number 2, the Dutch pair beat the Latvians Tina Graudina and Anastasija Smoilova 2 sets to 0 (16-21, 20-22).
Brazilians Ana Patricia and Duda took third place by dominating (21-12, 13-21, 15-8) Americans Betsi Flint and Kelly Cheng.
