NFL: Cleveland Browns without Myles Garrett against Atlanta Falcons

CLEVELAND — Star defensive end Myles Garrett will be out when the Cleveland Browns visit the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Browns management downgraded Garrett’s status from questionable to inactive before flying to Georgia on Saturday. Garrett was not to accompany his teammates.

The 26-year-old footballer suffered shoulder and bicep injuries, as well as cuts and bruises following a loss of control behind the wheel of his Porsche on Monday after returning from a training session .

On Friday, Garrett said he was lucky to have come out of the accident alive. A woman accompanying him in his vehicle also suffered minor injuries.

Garrett, who has been pulled over by police several times for speeding, said the crash served as a warning to him, and he vowed to be more careful driving his car.

Garrett is one of the best defensive end in the National Football League, and the Browns’ defense just isn’t the same when he’s out.

The Browns could also be without defensive end Jadeveon Clowney due to an ankle injury.

On Saturday, he was a doubtful case after missing the Browns’ last game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
