At 40 years old, Ramos made his retirement official through his social networks, where he published a photo as a goalkeeper for Millonarios, recalling his time at the ambassador club where he is remembered for his penalty goals and free kicks, in addition to having won two titles with the blue institution.

In Nelson Ramos’ sports career, he was considered a goal-scoring goalkeeper, where he was seen for the first time in his debut as a player in 2006 with Deportivo Pasto, a team with which he managed to become champion of the League that year, being one one of the most important in the first and only title of the Nariñense team in its entire history.

Likewise, his passing through La Equidad, where he became known and then a brief tour of America in 2010 made him catapult to Millonarios, where he managed to consecrate himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Colombian soccer, being a figure from 2011 to 2014 , achieving 92 games and two goals.

After finishing his time at the ambassador, Ramos decided to go explore other clubs, passing without much success at Deportivo Quito in Ecuador and from there he complemented his career at Fortaleza, Medellín, Jaguares, Bucaramanga and Boca Juniors de Cali of the second division. , a club with which he will make his official retirement after four seasons with the Caleños.
