NBA: you will have to pay between €80 and €1,875 to attend the match in Paris

Three years ago, during the event match between the Charlotte Hornets and the Milwaukee Bucks, which marked the return of the NBA to France after long years of withdrawal, the places had flown away, torn off, in just a few hours. At the time more than 200,000 fans had registered to take part in the pre-sale of the match. A little less than 15,000 of them had been able to obtain the precious sesame. The craze promises to be just as frenetic this year.

On January 19, the great barnum of the NBA will indeed return to the Accor Arena – after 3 years of waiting due to the health crisis – for a poster which will oppose the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons. American basketball aficionados can already register for the opening of the presale which will begin on November 8 at noon on the Accor Arena website. The official opening of the ticket office is scheduled for November 10. And the tickets should once again fly away quickly. Like the prices.

According to our information, fans will have to pay between 80 euros and 815 euros to watch the match from the so-called classic stands. The luckiest – and the richest – will have to pay up to 1,875 euros to afford a sought-after seat on the court side, at the edge of the field just a few centimeters from the players.

Increasing prices. Three years ago, ticket prices fluctuated between €65 and €650 in the stands and you had to pay between €1,500 and €1,600 for the best seats. Already at the time the tariffs had caused a beginning of controversy. “I understand it, but it’s an aspect of things over which we can’t have much control,” Adam Silver, the NBA boss, replied. It is the law of the market, it is also what dictates the prices. We tried to make them affordable, but there were so many requests that these prices skyrocketed, probably too much. Unfortunately, we can’t do much about it. »

Faced with fan demand, it’s a safe bet that this inflation will not prevent the Accor Arena from being sold out on January 19.
