The race to be the best Fribourgeois was very good. Indeed Jérémy Schouwey (58’16) and Yan Volery (58’05) held the rank of best Fribourgeois until the Saint-Léonard dish. Then they broke down and were overtaken by Jari Piller (57’25) already victorious in 2021 “I felt very tired and unable to keep up with the pace set by Yan and Jérémy at the start. I am all the more happy with this title, because it was very hard.

For his part, Jérémy Schouwey, who finished 13th, explains to us why he didn’t last until the end: “At Courtepin, I was ahead of my time, but I cracked after La Sonnaz. In the end, my head gave out.

Among the women, the best performance came from Inge Jenny, for the third time in a row. To her great surprise, she finished 2nd best Swiss in 1h08 behind Melanie Maurer. “I’m not breaking my record, but I’m very happy. At my age, I already want to run for fun and what comes next, the results, is the icing on the cake.
