The 32-year-old goalkeeper has been without a club since the beginning of August and can therefore sign for RB on a free transfer. Most recently, Nyland was under contract with Reading FC in the second English division from March to July.

In Germany, the Norwegian is not a blank slate either. From 2015 to 2018, Nyland was under the bar at FC Ingolstadt. With the Schanzers he made 18 appearances in the Bundesliga and made 30 appearances in the second Bundesliga.
