LIV Golf: Brooks Koepka leading in Jeddah

After a beautiful windy day in Jeddah, the American Brooks Koepka finished alone in pole position on the leaderboard after this first round in Saudi Arabia. He had a clear round with a total of 8 birdies for a lead over second-placed Charl Schwartzel at -6.

« It’s the first time I’ve played two consecutive weeks since February and I’m lacking in rhythm. I could have done better than that 62, but before the game I would have signed for that -8. I think the wind is blowing quite hard here so you can find yourself in some tough spots, and I think the greens have improved considerably since we arrived here on Monday until now. I have to continue like this for the next two days.”said Brooks Koepka.

Patrick Reed is at -5 in 3rd position with Peter Uihlein followed by the Mexican Carlos Ortiz at -4 in 6th position on the leaderboard. We find in 9th position Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood and Phil Mickelson at -3. Then in 19th position, Dustin Johnson, first in the individual general classification, is at -2 accompanied by Cameron Smith, Chase Koepka, Ian Poulter, Louis Oosthuizen and Joaquin Niemann.
