La Nación / Some 2,522 women signed up

A total of 2,522 women entrepreneurs signed up to participate in the Third Call for Women Entrepreneur Seed Capital, as part of the Reemujerpy Project, an action to promote entrepreneurial culture developed by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC), through the National Directorate of Entrepreneurship (Dinaem) of the Vice Ministry of MSMEs, carried out jointly with the Technical Cooperation of the Chinese government (Taiwan).

The main purpose of the project is to contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic growth, by improving the skills and competitiveness of entrepreneurship and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the business environment in Paraguay. Víctor Acosta, director of Dinaem, said that the applicants represent the 17 departments of the country, an achievement achieved through the activation of the Entrepreneur Support Centers (CAE), where the triple helix made up of the public, private and academic sectors, generates complementary synergies. He noted that this initiative is used as a decentralization and territorial development strategy, which facilitates the conditions for the opportunity to be visualized and achieved by local entrepreneurs.

In the process of the aforementioned contest, awareness and training will be generated with specific products for the improvement of competitiveness, and all the participants will have the opportunity to develop their business model, their investment plan and will generate digitalization for their enterprises through the creation of pages web, in addition to defending its strengthened project, with a view to accessing the US$1,800 capital that is directly injected into the local economy. At the end of the evaluations, 230 women entrepreneurs will be the beneficiaries of this third Seed Capital call.

The scope achieved, with the participation of more than two thousand five hundred women entrepreneurs from all over the country, is celebrated by Dinaem, which aims to deploy more actions, with the objective of developing local entrepreneurial ecosystems, for the good of promoting entrepreneurial culture.
