Asked how Liverpool could keep up with City, who have won four English championships in the last five years, Klopp said: “You’re not going to like the answer and you all already have the answer. No one can match City in that regard.” The 55-year-old added his club couldn’t operate like that. “There are three clubs in world football that can do whatever they want financially,” said Klopp, referring to City (main owners from Abu Dhabi), Newcastle United (Saudi Arabia) and Paris St. Germain (Qatar). “It’s legal. It’s not a problem for me at all, it is what it is.”
