Jasrado Prince Hermis Arrington « Jazz » Chisholm Jr. (born the in Nassau, Bahamas) is a Major League Baseball second baseman playing for the Miami Marlins.

As a youngster, Jazz Chisholm’s idol is his grandmother Patricia Coakley who played short-stop for the Bahamian national softball team in the 1980s[1].

Recruited in by the Arizona Diamondbacks as an international player, Jazz Chisholm Jr. plays in the team’s minor leagues. Aggressive at bat, the Bahamian is considered one of the Diamondbacks’ best prospects before being traded for Zac Gallen in [2],[3]. On his debut with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp in the AAA league, the young player impresses with a home run and a triple[4].

The Jazz Chisholm Jr. becomes the seventh Bahamian player to play in a major league game[5].

Selected for the 2022 All-Star Game, Jazz Chisholm Jr. cannot participate and must forfeit for back pain[6]. This injury keeps him away from the pitch for several weeks during the summer[7]. Also injured in the meniscus, the player, unavailable for the rest of the season, chooses to have surgery[8]
