“I wish no one knew me”

Paula Badosa you are feeling the pressure of your ranking, She is number 3 in the world of the WTA, and it is now when she must show that she can and knows how to deal with it, even if it is complicated. Paula herself knows it, especially in this bad run of results that she is having, and she spoke about that pressure in an interview for El Larguero de la Cadena Ser.

“I come from a small town, I am a girl who loved playing sports and did not know that tennis brought all this. I know that I am very lucky to dedicate myself to tennis, but the fact is that everything I do on the court or off it has repercussion. I would like to go out on a track and that no one knew meto be in the background,” said Paula.

Badosa, who still has a lot of room for improvement physically and mentally, stressed that the latter is the most important thing in tennis: “Tennis is very mental, there is a clear resultism and the appearance of a crisis It’s always there, even in the best of times. I wanted to get away from everythingI see that there is a lot of pink press around me”.

And of course, Paula must face the haters of social networks on a daily basis: “I receive insults, threats, there are many unbalanced people who have a serious problem. I was in a crisis with social networks and now I have greatly limited their use, no I can’t even see who mentions me. I’m very emotional and visceral, I find it hard to trivialize what is said about mebut I’m trying to do it and take things from an ironic and sarcastic point of view
