Great news for the Piedmont Region and for the whole “Granda”, in particular the city of Bra: the Testimonial of the National AIDO Day for the year 2022 is Giancarlo Ferrero.
Born in the city of Blessed Cottolengo and home of Slow Food, Bra, Ferrero grew up in basketball first in the ranks of Basketball Team 71 Abet Bra and later in the Casale Monferrato club, establishing himself with Osimo, 2008/09 season, in the top category of the Italian Basketball Federation : Serie A.
In the 2009/10 season he returned to Junior Casale, with which he won promotion to Serie A.
After two further federal championships in Piedmont he is the protagonist in the years 2013 / ’14 and 2014 / ’15 with Trapani in A2.
He has been playing in Varese Basketball since 2015, where he has been captain since 2017.
With the blue shirt, he made his debut in the national team in 2009.
He participated in the Under 18 European Championships in 2006 and Under 20 in 2008.
At the beginning of his sports career he collaborated playing baskin with the SportTiAmo company, a sports reality in the city of Bra linked to different abilities.
