Football: Barça wins in Mallorca and takes the lead while waiting for the Real match

Thanks to a goal from the inevitable Lewandowski, Barça won by a short header in Mallorca on behalf of the 7th day of La Liga and temporarily occupies 1st place in the championship.

FC Barcelona took the lead in La Liga on their own thanks to a narrow victory over Mallorca (1-0) on Saturday evening, awaiting Real Madrid’s match this Sunday against Osasuna.

Barça, before their trip to Milan against Inter on Tuesday in the Champions League, is one point ahead of their great Madrid rival.

The Catalans scored through the inevitable Robert Lewandowski (20th), author of a new personal achievement and his ninth goal of the season in La Liga.

Xavi’s side are now on six straight league wins, four of them away, after a season-opening first draw against Rayo Vallecano at Camp Nou (0-0).
