All members, VIPs and press people who were still present had to leave the premises immediately.

The Munich police are on site with a large contingent, looking not only for the Audi Dome, where the members had previously debated the current situation in Bavaria, but also for the surrounding parks.

The bomb squad is also on site.

Bayern President Herbert Hainer (68) to BILD: “I know the police have been alerted. The USK arrives, a clearing squad. Unfortunately, I don’t know more at the moment. It’s really a shame: After such an event, I wanted to sit down with the members and have a beer. I wanted to talk to our followers and exchange ideas. That had to be stopped from now on. It’s a really ugly ending!”

The Bayern bosses around Hainer, Vice President Prof. Dr. Dieter Mayer and the 2nd Vice President Walter Mennekes had just finished the press conference and wanted to end the evening in the VIP box. Then the shock message! The bosses were quickly asked to leave the podium. They learned about the bomb threat in the catacombs.

Stefan Mennerich, director of media and communication for the record champions, then hurriedly sent everyone out of the hall. He spoke of a “vague bomb threat”.

Hainer had ended the general meeting at 10:42 p.m. The shock message followed at 11:15 p.m. It was the Bayern president who was the last boss to leave the arena.

Now there is a lot of tension at Bayern. The Audi Dome may only be entered again once the bomb squad has cleared the arena.
