City star Haaland beckons next mega contract

At Manchester City, Erling Haaland (22) is currently shooting up the Premier and Champions League. The Norwegian, who came to the Citizens from BVB for almost 60 million euros before the season, has scored an unbelievable 17 times in 11 competitive games.

On Sunday he destroyed Manchester United 6-3 with a hat trick. Already his third triple pack in “Skyblue”.

Because of the strong start to the season, Man City is said to be thinking about an extension with Haaland just three months after signing the Tor machine. Although he has a contract until 2027 (!)!

This is reported by the English newspaper “Daily Star”. Early extensions have a long tradition at City. Players who stand out with strong performances should be retained with salary increases as soon as possible so that other top clubs cannot lure the stars with offers.

With Ederson, Aymeric Laporte, Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias, the English champions extended their contract after the first strong year.

According to the report, he already earns around 430,000 euros a week, which means an annual salary of almost 22.4 million euros. But next May, the Haaland side could expect an improved offer if the ex-Dortmunder continues to hit so hard.

With the hefty salary increase, Manchester City would deter Real Madrid in particular for the time being. Spanish media are already reporting again and again that the royals want to hit Haaland in two years.

The striker has reportedly included a €150m release clause in City’s contract from the summer of 2024. Real President Florentino Perez (75) is said to have Haaland next to PSG superstar Kylian Mbappé (23) as a major transfer goal for the Madrilenians and be ready to pull the mega clause.

But one thing is clear: First of all, Haaland will continue to score goals on the assembly line for City and coach Pep Guardiola (51). Next time during the week. In the Champions League, “Torweger” receives on Wednesday (8:45 p.m. on DAZN and here in the BILD live ticker) FC Copenhagen.
