Union – Heidenheim 2:0 (1:0)

Typical top team Union in the first half with almost 75 percent possession!

A quick attack by the Irons sets the course in the 7th minute: Becker crosses, Puchacz stops the foot, 1:0. Heidenheim just too slow in this situation!

And Union continues: Michel tricked Heidenheim goalkeeper Eicher with a fine header in the 52nd minute, who thundered out of the goal too quickly: 2-0!

It stays that way.

Union apparently wins in every competition.

Stuttgart – Bielefeld 6: 0 (4: 0)

Cup-Gala in Stuttgart!

A double strike by Stenzel and Endo within four minutes made everything clear for Stuttgart against the bottom of the second division. Bielefeld helpless.

Pfeiffer even increased it to 3-0 after a cross from Sosa. For Stuttgart it’s like a fun training game, and Silas is even allowed to make it 4-0 before the break with a direct acceptance after a cross from Sosa.

Actually, Bielefeld could have gotten on the bus now.

At the latest after Pfeiffer made it 5-0 and Guirassy made it 6-0, the guests were completely served. The only advantage of the cup elimination: Now Bielefeld can concentrate on the relegation battle in league 2!

Tore: 1-0 Stenzel (20′), Endo (24′), 3-0 Pfeiffer (29′), 4-0 Silas (39′), 5-0 Pfeiffer (52′), 6-0 Guirassy (67′)

Regensburg – Düsseldorf 0:3 (0:3)

After half an hour of play it could have been 4 or 5:0 for Düsseldorf, so great is the superiority!

The 1-0 for the guests through Peterson, who just tries it from 25 meters. Stojanovic slipped the ball through his fingers to make it 1-0 for Düsseldorf! Kownacki increased his header in the 16th to make it 2-0!

The 3-0 win by Iyoha was actually the decision for Düsseldorf: the round of 16 was practically booked!

It stays that way. Regensburg still well served.

Paderborn – Bremen 5:4 (2:0) i.E.

Paderborn already looked like the sure winner after the 2:0. But then Werder came up with morale and saved themselves in extra time….

Bremen fell asleep in the 22nd minute against Paderborn’s Platte, who scored cleanly on the bottom left to make it 1-0 and was hardly defended.

Even with Conteh making it 2-0 in the 43rd minute, Werder’s vote doesn’t fit at all: Veljkovic is afraid of a duel, Pavlenka at least looks unhappy.

Werder makes the connection: Bittencourt simply pulls away in the 65th minute, the ball is deflected to make it 1:2.

Werder increases the pressure. And equalizes in the 84th. Bittencourt takes a corner from the right onto the first post, Weiser heads in to make it 2-2!

Renewal. Full pitcher heads the 3:2 for Werder. But the referee does not give the hit because of a foul. It stays at 2:2.

Pack formation – filling pitcher and Paderborn coach Kwasniok clash.

Penalties shoot! Here Bittencourt, of all people, shoots the ball, the best Bremen man! The whole of Paderborn is celebrating!

Tore: 1:0 Platte (22. Minute), 2:0 Conteh (43.), 2:1 Bittencourt (65.), 2:2 Weiser (84.)

Freiburg – St. Pauli 2:1 (0:1) nV

FC St. Pauli was actually already through. And then Ginter and Gregoritsch came and shot Freiburg into the round of 16 at the last minute!

Freiburg starts the cup home game with rotation – coach Streich changes to seven positions! 20-year-old Atubolu plays for Flekken in goal. Otherwise: In the first half hour friendly game character without big highlights.

Then Pauli in the 37th minute: Daschner shortly before the SC goal to Amenyido, who fails from close range to goalkeeper Atubolu. Should have been 1-0.

Then the Pauli lead in the 42nd: Schlotterbeck’s back pass almost from the middle line goes completely wrong, Daschner intercepts, rushes off and lobs to make it 1-0 at half-time for Hamburg.

In the second half, Hamburg defended compactly – Freiburg had no ideas going forward, although Streich had brought all the stars long ago.

In added time it was 1-1 for Freiburg after all: Keitel dropped two Paulians and served Ginter, who nodded off from three yards out! Almost even the 2:1 for Freiburg, but Pauli keeps tight. Renewal!

Both teams have chances, but the decisive thing is ER: Gregoritsch! Grifo from left, Ginter extended, Gregoritsch heads in for a 2-1 win for Breisgau.

Tore: 0: 1 Daschner (42′), 1: 1 Ginter (90’+3′), Gregoritsch (119′)
