Denmark Open 2022 – Herry IP Admits Minions Preparation Is Better After Problem With Kevin Is Over

BOLASPORT.COM – Indonesia’s national men’s doubles coach, Herry Iman Pierngadi or Herry IP, has confirmed that Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo’s preparation for the European tour is better than the 2022 World Championship and the 2022 Japan Open.

Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo will participate in Denmark Open 2022 (18-23 October) and French Open 2022 (25-30 October).

“Marcus/Kevin after Marcus’ surgery, you could say that their last match was the world championship and the Japan Open and the results were not good. In my opinion, the preparations (Denmark and France) were much better,” said Herry IP when met by at the Cipayung National Training Center, Jakarta.

“Both Kevin and Marcus, their proof is in Denmark and France. Many people hope for them, but it must be known that after the operation there has been a decline,” said Herry.

“So, it still takes time to adapt and turn them back to how they used to be, so you have to be patient first. So, it can’t be as drastic as it used to be, because people’s expectations for Minions are extraordinary.”

“If so runner-up or reaching the semifinals is considered a failure, while there is already a lot of competition with other countries. Win-lose is normal. We just have to see what the win is like, what the loss is like,” said Herry.

According to Herry, Macus/Kevin’s practice had been disrupted ahead of the 2022 World Championships and the 2022 Japan Open.

“That’s what we have to evaluate for the future. Practice has not reached 100 percent. Preparations have been disrupted because there is a slight difference of opinion between Kevin and I. However, so far this week has been quite good. If I look at the graph, the graph is good,” said Herry.

“Compared to the past, I hope that there is still time to come back again, especially the physical condition, the map, power-it’s because playing doubles needs power,“said Harry.
