D3-P1: Sart still surprising, Libramont still disappointing

In D3 amateurs, Libramont had a great opportunity to get their first victory in the league, when they traveled to Sprimont, a team that has only one point more than the Libramontois. Unfortunately, the latter will return home with a new defeat, logical moreover, as Sprimont controlled the debates for more than an hour of play. However, the Mauves could have snatched the division at the end of the game, if the ball by Nicolas Roset had not hit the post and crossed the line without entering the cage.

Few chances during a relatively balanced derby between Marloie and Givry. A Marloie who is doing well with this new victory, since without the exclusion of Khelil twenty minutes from time and a penalty whistled at the edge of the large rectangle (or even outside), Givry could have gone for the three points.

Also in the series, we record the sharing of Meix and Habay, respectively at Ciney and La Calamine.

In provincial premiere, Sart is continuing its very good start to the season. The Spirous, always so refreshing and surprising, ended up emerging during this pleasant duel against Messancy, thanks to the double of this devil of Murtezi in the second half. The Zebras could perhaps have claimed better, but on points, Sart deserves to win.

Oppagne, the team at the top of the standings, moved to Assenois, who had to raise their heads after the debacle against Houffaloise last weekend. The leader is doing well with this division, as Stéphane Dubois’ team has mastered its subject in the 1st period, to the point of having had the opportunity to take the break several times. Except that on returning from the locker room, the Coalisés put more physical impact to pick up the score. With this division and the victory of Sart at Messancy, Oppagne leaves its place as number one in the championship to the Spirous

At the bottom of the standings, we found Chaumont and La Roche with five points, then Freylange, dead last, with two points.

The Rochois should therefore not miss when receiving Houffaloise, a point ahead of them overall, and take points to get out of this red zone. Unfortunately, it is half missed since they record a new division which ultimately does not help many people, although the visitors especially had the feeling of having missed the three points. It is true that the clearest chances were in Houffalo, especially in the first half. Non-existent in the first period, the Rochois raised their heads in the second, without making Kiki Louvins tremble. Houffalize, on the other hand, could have made the difference several times but it was not.

Nevertheless, these two teams will console themselves with the defeat of Chaumont against Longlier. Indeed, although this meeting could have ended in a draw, the Longolards were able to display a great maturity to maintain a one-goal lead acquired at the half-hour mark. The Chaumontois now occupy the red lantern, since Freylange has been looking for its first success of the season against Bastogne, with style. Has Eric Picard’s men’s season just started?
