Cadí La Seu sweeps La Penya and will play the final of the Catalan League AON 2022

The Fontajau Pavilion does not rest. After welcoming the return of Básquet Girona to the ACB, this afternoon it hosted the first semi-final of the Catalan League AON 2022 where the Urgelenques won against La Penya (63-50) and got the ticket to compete in the final of the 34th edition of this competition (Sunday, 12:45 p.m.).

Jordi Acero’s team has imposed its physical superiority against a Joventut that, despite winning the Catalan League Challenge 2022, has been overcome by the success of Cadí. The Urgellenkas have placed a cushion of ten points at half-time and, despite slightly lowering the revolutions in the third quarter, they have widened the distances thanks to the outside success of Laura Peña (14), who has been supported by the pivot, Taylor Sue (15).

Fontajau has also welcomed the return of two well-known faces: Júlia Soler from Banyola and Georgina Bahí from Girona, currently members of Cadí La Seu. The Urgellenkas have left the job done and are waiting for an opponent to try to revalidate the title in the final this Sunday (12:45 p.m.).
