4 games unbeaten in a row, but… |
Hertha is on the spot!
The Berliners remain unbeaten in the 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim for the fourth time in a row (three draws, one win), are still stuck in the basement with a two-point lead over the relegation place. And continue to wait for the first home win.
Because the Hertha fright strikes again!
25. Minute: Angelino crosses from the left with a lot of overview in the backcourt. Kabak is there and just pulls away. Kramaric runs in perfectly, keeps his foot close seven meters in front of the goal – 1-0 for Hoffenheim!
It is the Croatian’s tenth goal in the 13th game against Hertha (eight of them in Berlin) – an amazing record! Kramaric has not scored as often against any other team. This makes the Berliners his absolute favorite opponent.
But the Herthaners prove once again that they have now stabilized under coach Sandro Schwarz (43).
37. Minute: A ricochet from Angelino lands at Ejuke. He immediately gets through to Lukebakio. Finished in the long corner – compensation for Hertha!
By far the most spectacular scene of the game is then delivered by several players. Because Hoffenheim shoots up a crazy bar-line double chance (45th)!
Kramaric works the ball to the lower edge of the crossbar. Prömel heads the rebound against the direction of Hertha goalkeeper Christensen on goal, but Kempf clears the line with his foot.
In the end it was 1-1 – also because Skov disallowed a well-played Hoffenheim goal for offside (86′). Hoffenheim coach André Breitenreiter has to live with the second draw in a row on his 49th birthday.
Herthan are also disappointed. They played well again but failed to win again.
By the way: Before kick-off, Hertha fans publicly joined the discussion about investor Lars Windhorst (45) for the first time. First of all, in a newsletter, the Förderkreis Ostcurve calls for resistance to the controversial investor, and flyers are then distributed in front of the stadium.
Tenor: After the renewed unrest surrounding Windhorst (he is said to have hired an Israeli detective agency to overthrow ex-President Gegenbauer), Hertha fans should rebel against the investor.
Windhorst’s reputation in the club continues to wane. However, the fans don’t really have a chance to force him out of the club.
