Both of Sparta’s goals were irregular, said Hradec’s coach. He didn’t understand how VAR could not see it

Hradec Králové football coach Miroslav Koubek called both Sparta’s goals, thanks to which they beat his team 2:1 in the 10th round of the first league despite being weakened, as irregular.

He especially did not understand the second conceded goal, which, according to the available footage, was preceded by the offside of the shooter Jan Kuchta after a probable run by Ladislav Krejčí the younger. The national team striker did not agree with that.

“Both of Sparta’s goals are irregular. The first is a situation that Mr. Vrba (Ostrava’s coach) has already complained about (here), that it is an inverted corner. There is no corner, it is repeated, and the second goal is offside,” Koubek summarized at the press conference conference.

Chief referee Lukáš Nehasil discussed Kucht’s shot with video referee Václav Štěrba for a long time, but in the end he did not change his original verdict.

“Everyone sees it and VAR doesn’t, so I don’t understand it. It’s incomprehensible to me,” wondered Koubek.

“VAR is a technical aid and it is controlled by people. That person made a mistake. I am tired of this topic. Common sense sees it and trained people do not. I did not want to be like that, but I simply feel the bitterness,” said the 71-year-old coach, who previously played for Sparta and worked as an assistant there.

According to Kuchta, his first league goal for Sparta was right. “I saw the situation in such a way that Láďa Krejčí did not dribble it. At most it was dribbled before or after him by (Hradec Štěpán) Harazim,” he came up with a remarkable explanation.

At the same time, according to the footage, Harazim, ready to deflect the cross with his head, did not touch the ball precisely because Krejčí changed its flight path. “The situation was questionable, but for me it was a regular goal, that’s why it was valid, and that’s why we won,” the 25-year-old striker stood up for himself.
