BILD commentary on the Lewandowski discussion |
1-0 for Kahn & Brazzo against Hoeneß
It is the big football discussion in Europe, which in Germany is specifically about the FC Bayern and the national team turns: Can it also be done without the classic nines in the storm?
Uli Hoeneß (70) had just made it clear to his Bayern board that a nine was missing and that this had to be changed in the medium term.
BUT: Robert Lewandowski (34), whom Hoeneß mourns, is 99 percent eliminated in the Champions League preliminary round with Barcelona. And that in the same group in which Bayern qualified for the round of 16 without a nine after four wins in four games. Besides, they scored five goals more than the Lewandowski club. In the end it doesn’t really matter who scores the goals.
This Champions League interim result proves that Lewandowski sellers Oliver Kahn (53) and Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidzic (45) are right – and Hoeneß wrong. Interim result in the discussion: 1:0 for the board against the honorary president.
The no-nine strategy hasn’t failed yet!
