“Audi” will start cooperation with “Sauber” F-1 team from 2026

Audi called the partnership the “next milestone” on its path to F1. It will include the purchase of a stake in Sauber, which has almost 30 years of experience in the sport, first competing under its own name and since 2018 as an Alfa Romeo team.

The first test trips are scheduled for 2025.

“Audi” announced its desire to participate in the F-1 competition in the summer.

Currently, the team competes as “Alfa Romeo” and uses the “Ferrari” engine, but at the end of 2023 the cooperation will be terminated.

Alfa Romeo has won 52 points in the F-1 championship this season and is in sixth place in the ten-team competition.
